We've been building custom computers for 20 years, and right now is the most exciting time for PC hardware in about a decade.  Stiff competition between the big components manufacturers is driving raw processing power through the roof while prices either stay flat or get lower.  Couple that with a burgeoning market for custom components like cases, cooling, lights, cables, etc., and you've got all the ingredients for a Custom PC renaissance.

For Professionals

Today's creative software can be surprisingly demanding.  Adobe's Creative Suite, Autodesk's Fusion 360, Blender, and all kinds of powerful but affordable software have greatly expanded the capabilities of content creators, hobbyists, and amateurs.  Powerful but affordable is exactly the kind of computer makers need to make the most of these programs without annoying stalls, crashes, and lost work.  Your old laptop from college might run these apps, but we've all had that moment when working on complex projects where system memory fills up and everything comes to an abrupt stop.  A custom PC tailored to the software you use most can eliminate stutters and loading times without breaking the bank.

For Gamers

Yeah, yeah, getting marketed to as "gamers" gets on my nerves as much as it does yours--believe me; but if you need a PC to crush today's AAA titles or never, ever drop below 240 FPS for that extreme competitive edge, you've come to the right place.  Pre-builts from the big names can be ridiculously overpriced for the hardware they come with.  We strike a middle ground between building it yourself and paying way too much for a big company's overhead.  That's not to mention that we can offer a level of customization they can't and that buying local means no chance of shipping damage.  It doesn't matter if you know exactly what you want and how you want it to look, or if you just want it to be fast--we'll help you build your dream PC.

What about laptops?

While there were some brief attempts by the industry to make custom, modular laptops an option, they never really caught on.  Laptops will never compete with desktop computers in the price-to-performance category, but the convenience and portability they offer is undeniable.  We can't build you a custom laptop, but we can help you sift through the numberless options to make sure the laptop you purchase suits your needs, your budget, and that it won't become a paperweight in two years.  Check our Consultation page for more details.

Rates?

For most situations, we offer flat rates on building custom PCs.  However, we switch to an hourly rate for builds that require extreme levels of care, customization, or overclocking.  Here's what our rates look like:

If you're a DIYer that just wants to run your build list by a pro and make sure everything's compatible and that you're spending your money in the right place, we charge $20 per hour or portion thereof for consultations.

For builds with standard air cooling or all-in-one water cooling, we charge the cost of parts +$200.

For premium builds with custom soft-line watercooling and mid-level overclocking, we charge the cost of parts +$300.

For ultra builds with things like cusom hard-line watercooling, fine-tuned overclocking, hand-built custom cabling, or custom enclosures like desk or wall-mounted PCs, we switch to an hourly rate of $100 per hour plus the cost of parts and materials.

Migrating data from your old computer to your new one, making sure you can still log on to all your online accounts, and any training you might need to get used to the new system is billed at our normal hourly rate.

If you represent an organization that needs multiple custom computers, we do offer reduced rates for bulk orders.  Please contact us with the details of your order.  If you've already retained our services, we can build your PCs with pre-paid hours or at your organization's discounted hourly rate.
